Solidarity amid hardship

In the past year, our nation has stood united to overcome a monumental challenge as the historic typhoon Yagi swept through, leaving severe devastation, especially in the Northern provinces. Heavy rains and subsequent floods upended the lives of thousands, causing unimaginable disruption. Yet, amid these hardships, the resilient and united spirit of the Vietnamese people once again shone through.

As soldiers bravely traversed roads washed away by floods, crossed mountains and streams to deliver essential supplies, and rescued residents from danger zones, Vietnamese across the country did not stand by idly. Relief convoys journeyed from the South to the North, carrying meaningful gifts sent by individuals, organizations, and businesses, embodying the solidarity and compassion of the Vietnamese people. Together, these efforts became a source of strength for the frontline forces and the affected communities, helping them navigate the hardship.

Omachi was also among the entities joining hands to support the front lines. As flood relief activities for affected residents unfolded urgently, Omachi promptly sent 55,000 ‘Self-boiling instant hotpot’ boxes and 1,200 ‘Self-cooked rice’ boxes to military forces in provinces such as Lao Cai, Lang Son, Phu Tho, and beyond. This initiative not only provided practical nutritional support in difficult conditions but also symbolized solidarity and responsibility, boosting the morale of those tirelessly working on the front lines.

Products such as Omachi’s Self-boiling instant hotpot and Self-cooked rice proved to be a fitting solution for the challenges in flood-stricken areas, where kitchens, electricity, or boiling water were scarce. With just a few simple steps, hot, flavorful meals were prepared quickly, without the need for any cooking equipment. On December 22, 2024, in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army and the 35th anniversary of the All People’s National Defense Festival, the nation once again honored those fulfilling their duty on the front lines. Amidst this pride, a new year approaches, and Omachi embarked on a special journey to bring the spirit of spring early to the soldiers and residents of Trường Sa Island District in the very first days of 2025.

With heartfelt affection and solidarity from the mainland, Omachi delivered 2,000 boxes of Omachi noodles and 1,000 Self-boiling instant hotpot as a wish for a peaceful new year, sending the vibrant flavors of spring to the soldiers and islanders of Truong Sa. Despite the distance, these gifts brought the warmth of the season closer, allowing them to feel the joy of spring even in the farthest reaches of the sea. Receiving these gifts at the dawn of the new year, the soldiers expressed joy and gratitude for the care from the mainland. Amid the early spring skies over the sea, they gathered to enjoy warm, hearty meals, creating a cheerful, cozy atmosphere reminiscent of home. The radiant smiles of the soldiers upon receiving the gifts from afar reflected not only their resilient and optimistic spirit but also painted a beautiful picture of the enduring bond between the front lines and the homeland.

The gifts that Omachi sent to Truong Sa were not merely essential supplies but heartfelt bridges, carrying the full weight of love and solidarity from the mainland to the soldiers and residents of the distant islands.
